WordPress can work for your website, not just your blog
By
You may think that you need a website built from scratch and a separate blog, but you may begin to see that many websites are indeed running on the WordPress platform. WordPress enables you to have pages, not just one page for your blog posts. You can even set one of your static pages as the home page instead of the traditional blog page.
Here are a few examples:
They don’t look like blogs, do they? They are all running on the WordPress platform. The possibilities are truly endless.
You can get a custom WordPress Theme designed and installed for you for a fraction of the cost of a traditional website and be able to update it yourself down the road. Search for “custom WordPress theme design” and see what you can find. You can even go over to 99Designs and hold a contest for your new WordPress theme.
There are also themes, such as the Thesis Theme, that can be purchased for less than $100 and modified very easily with a custom banner and background to give your website its own unique look. Check out these awesome designs:
- Green Your Decor
- Green Pepper, Eco-Friendly Living and Environmental Issues
- St. Joseph Health System, Center for Healthcare Reform
So if you don’t have a website and need one. Think outside the box and look into downloading WordPress (for free) on your hosting server and getting a custom theme designed.
